With its fragrant elemental energies, our sun candle is a magical alchemy of essential oils evocative of harvest time and fruition, heat and passion. Citrus oils uplift, refresh and invigorate. Resinous oils of frankincense, sandalwood and myrrh connect us to earth’s temple, the ancestors, etheric wisdom and our divine masculine and bring us spiritual depth.

Container
This beautiful vessel is handmade by ceramicist Rebecca Wordsworth at her studio, a converted dairy in the Somerset countryside. It is porcelain painted with oxides and finished with gold lustre.

Wax

A combination of organic wild African beeswax and organic Sri Lankan coconut oil.

How to use

On first use, burn Solaris until the surface of the wax pools to the edge of the candle to ensure an even burn every time. Trim the wick to 1/4” before each use, to avoid blooming and black soot. Never leave a lit candle unattended or near surfaces and materials that can catch fire.

Once your candle is finished, you can reuse the vessel as a bud vase or a pot for plants, pens or makeup brushes. Remove any remaining wax by warming in a low oven and pouring out. Wash and reuse.

Take time on waking to connect with your deeper self and start the day feeling centred. Light your candle, sit comfortably, breathe deeply and allow the yang energy of Solaris to uplift you. Close your eyes and rest your awareness softly in the centre of your being. Breathe slow, relaxed breaths and let the mandarin and petitgrain refresh your mind and open your heart, and frankincense and myrrh awaken forgiveness and compassion for yourself and others. Set an intention for how you want your day to be and repeat three times. Blink your eyes open and gaze softly into the flame.
