Container

This beautiful vessel is handmade by ceramicist Rebecca Wordsworth at her studio, a converted dairy in the Somerset countryside. It is porcelain painted with oxides and finished with gold lustre.

Wax

A combination of organic wild African beeswax, organic Sri Lankan coconut oil, organic sesame oil, organic olive oil and organic hemp oil.

How to use

On first use, burn the candle until the surface of the wax pools to the edge of the candle to ensure an even burn next time. Trim the wick to 1/4” before each use, to avoid blooming and black soot. Never leave a lit candle unattended or near surfaces and materials that can catch fire.

The oil can also be used directly on the skin and in the bath for massage and to lock in moisture. It is formulated to never get too hot for the skin. After 15-30 minutes, once the wax has pooled to the edge, pour a little into your hand. Massage the relaxing, nurturing oil into skin to relieve muscle aches, fatigue, headaches and insomnia, and create the feeling of self-love.

Once your candle is finished, you can reuse the vessel as a bud vase or brush/pen pot. Remove any remaining wax by warming in a low oven and pouring it out. Wash and reuse.

As dusk falls, create a pause to shift from the yang energy of daytime to the yin energy of the evening, and connect to your deeper self. Light your candle, sit comfortably (under the light of the moon if she is in view) and breathe in the calming fragrance. Close your eyes and rest your awareness softly in the centre of your being. Breathe slow, relaxed breaths and let rose geranium, elemi and ylang ylang soothe you and lift your mood, while jasmine and labdanum penetrate your soul and awaken your wisdom and intuition. Reflect on your day, what you’re grateful for and what you have learnt. Feel yourself move into a softer energy, preparing for the night ahead. Slowly open your eyes and gaze softly into the flame.
